Filled with one fishing story after the other while out in the gulf or the ocean (yes, there is a difference). The gulf is surrounded by land on three sides while the ocean is an open body of water. This book is seething with adventure! Bob makes you feel like you are on the boat with them. I don't fish and still found it captivating and enlightening. You will certainly learn a lot about various fish and how to catch them and learn a little about boating, as well. I also learned that fishermen are a special breed and speak their own language that sometimes only the fish could understand. You could go to college for a degree in oceanography and still never understand the behavior of fish the way a true fisherman does. Book was well written and I enjoyed all the wonderful old pictures.Great Book Bought it because my buddy Vinni is in it. Enjoyed the readFeel the adrenaline I've spent many years on the ocean as a commercial fisherwoman and relate to the author's stories in many ways.I have nothing but the utmost respect for the ocean, which can turn on you in a heartbeat.Even though this book focuses on ocean fishing, it took me back to those amazing days That I can honestly say have been the best times of my life so far.The author did an amazing job through his writing of taking the reader on many adventurous fishing trips, I felt like I was right there next to him, cheering him on when reeling in a fish. I felt the adrenaline rush and the pride a fisherman feels when they land a fish on the boat.The photos were an added bonus that was a great addition to the stories.My husband and son who are also avid fishermen also read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now go out and catch more fish so we can read more about your adventures.Hooked On Fishing Even though I'm not much of a reader, I found this book to be very interesting. Once I started reading it I didn't want to stop. All the fishing trips described along with pictures of huge fish that were caught was so awesome!
